GoodNews! Facebook  takes on Google Doodle with News Feed events

On every special day, Google has been serving its users a new Doodle with the purpose to educate, to mark holidays and update us with the current events without interrupting the search experience.

But now people have another option too. The social media giant Facebook has come up with a similar programme that will serve the same purpose that Google's service has been fulfilling till now.

It is being said that Facebook is revealing its own take with News Feed messages about holidays and events.

Chief Marketing Officer at Facebook wrote in his post that, 'We are introducing a marketing programme to invite people to share and talk about events and moments that are happening in their communities and around the world'.

Interestingly, the goal of the message will be 'to give people ways to connect and share with friends during holidays and events'.

Not only this the programme will also help people to discover fun and interesting cultural moments and celebrate moments in history that continue to make the world more open and connected.

Moreover, People will be invited also to share a holiday card with their friends on Facebook and choose from a set of 18 custom-designed cards'.
