Petrol price hiked by Rs 2.21 and diesel by Rs 1.79 today

New Delhi: Petrol price is hiked by Rs 2.21 a litre and diesel by Rs. 1.79 per litre from today. This revised rates was take affect from Friday midnight.

Now, petrol in Delhi is cost Rs. 68.94 per litre as against Rs. 66.10 currently. Same as  a litre of diesel is cost Rs. 56.68. State-owned fuel retailers Indian Oil Corp, Hindustan Petoleum Corp. and Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd increases the price of oil.

“The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate warrant an increase in selling price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision,” said a statement from the largest retailer, Indian Oil.

Petrol price:
Delhi - Rs 68.94
Kolkata - Rs 71.50
Mumbai - Rs 75.27
Chennai - Rs 68.41

Diesel price:
Delhi - Rs 56.68
Kolkata - Rs 58.92
Mumbai - Rs 62.40
Chennai - Rs 58.28
