New Delhi: The Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's demise not only affected to our nation, but also had an impact on one of our neighbouring country, Pakistan. On Thursday, Pakistan had paid tribute to the BJP co founder, hailing him as a "statesman", after he breathed his last at 93.

According to the sources, Pakistan's Foreign office spokesman said that we have learnt with sadness the passing away of Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The FO spokesmansaid" Mr. Vajpayee was a renowned statesman, who contributed to bringing the change in India-Pakistan relations and remained a key support to SAARC and regional cooperation for development".

The Foreign officer added that the government and the people of Pakistan extend their "heart felt condolence" to Mr. Vajpayee's family and to the government and people of India
