New Delhi: President Ramnath Kovind departed for a nine days tour to three countries Greece, Surinam and Cuba on Saturday. This is the first time that President Kovind is followed by the first lady Savita Kovind including various Members of Parliament and Minister of State for Steel Vishnu Deo Sai.

According to the schedule, the President will first reach Athens (Greece) and will meet  Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and other senior members of the Government. On Tuesday, President will leave for Surinam and will meet President Desire Delano Bouterse. President Kovind will also discuss with Surinam President about the political matter and official level talks will be conducted. Number of agreements and MoUs were to be signed related to health, medicines, elections, IT and Ayurveda among the two.

President Kovind will then reach in Cuba on 21st June, there President will hold discussions to Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz and Canel Bermudez. A number of MoUs and Agreements in the areas of Biotechnology, Homeopathy and traditional system of medicine and medicinal plants will be signed during the visit.
