Union minister Arun Jaitley, who missed the interim budget on Friday due to ill health, said that he is now very much better and is hoping to return soon. Mr. Jaitley, who was the finance minister in the Modi government, went to New Delhi for treatment last month and in his absence, the ministry was given the charge of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, who presented the interim budget on Friday.

"I am back very soon, I am better now. I hope that will be back soon," Mr. Jaitley told reporters through a video call from New York and questioned the budget.

This is his first foreign visit to AIIMS on 14th May, 2018 after kidney surgery. In his absence, Piyush Goyal was given additional charge of the finance ministry.
