NSSO's Periodic Labor Force Survey, India's unemployment rate recorded 6.1 percent in 2017-18, which is the highest in the last 45 years. This is the first survey of unemployment after the announcement of the ban on Modi in 2016 by the Modi government. Figures for this survey have been taken between July 2017 and June 2018. The document that was reviewed by Business Standard. On their basis it was discovered that since 1972-73, this is the highest rate of unemployment till date.

According to the survey, during the second term of UPA, the unemployment rate was up to 2.2 percent in 2011-12. After the allegations leveled against the Center on behalf of the Opposition on the highest unemployment report in 45 years, the cleaning of the Commission has come to light. The Commission's Vice President Rajiv Kumar said on Thursday that these figures are not final and have not been verified.
