Kerala: The government of Kerala had described the crisis as one of the worst in decades.  As "extremely grave" and rescue operations are underway to help thousands, who remain trapped by floodwaters.

According to the sources, with the death toll rising to 324 and around 223139 people living in 1500 plus relief camps across the states, a red alert is sounded in 13 Kerala districts. The centre on Thursday deployed, all the three wings of armed forces in a massive rescue operations.

North and central Kerala has been worst hit by the floods.  Cohin airport hjad been shut till Saturday, as the situation in the state got worsened.

According to the sources, the chief minister Vijayan said 164 people died in the state, more than 100 died in the last 36 hours. PM Modi had a telephonic communication with CM Pinarayi Vijayan and will visit Kerala to take a stock on the worst flood of the century.

Some Major points:

*- CM VIjayan tweeted red alert in 13 districts "Alert: all districts apart from Kasargod are under red alert... heavy rains may affect these 13 districts. Everyone please be cautious,".

*- Alarming situation aroused in Alapuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Pathanamthitta. Where roads were completely submerged into water. The water is now started to enter the relief camps.

*- Though the MeT office had alerted the states, but thye intensity of rain is observed low.

*- 12 more teams of NDRF had been sent to Kerala. Altogether 35 teams will reach to the state till evening.

*- Domestic airlines have asked to keep a check on fares of the flight operating to and from Kerala. Telecom operators hav announced free calls and data uses for a week in Kerala.
