Jammu- Kashmir: The Pakistani troops unprovoked firing in the wee hours of Monday morning, in which one of our soldier died in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district. The Indian army retaliated and killed two of the Pakistani soldiers late Monday night.

According to the army spokesperson declared that the Indian army personnel killed two pakistani soldiers on Monday night, in Tangdhar sector along the LoC in retaliatory action.

Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said "the Indian retaliated to unprovoked ceasefire violations and repeated attempts to facilitate infiltration by the Pakistan army in Tanghdhar".

According to the army official, The troops voilated ceasefie at Army's Anil post, Cheetak post and Black Bug post with small arms along the LoC.

On August 6, four soldiers of the Indian Army, including a major, were killed in a gun battle with a group of militants trying to infiltratenear the line of Control in Gurez sector in North Kashmir's Bandipore district.
