New Delhi: The Niti Aayog meet organised in the Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi on Sunday. To attend a day long meeting the dignetries headed towards the Rashtrayapati Bhawan were Union ministers, Chief Ministers of various states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and Senior Government officials including PM Narendra Modi. 

The meeting started at around 10.15 am by the opening speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In his speech PM talked about cooperative & competitive federalism that are the main resources of India's growth & progress. He appreciates the main role played by the states in compiling the "One Nation, One Tax", GST successful.

In the meeting the main issues highlighted were related to double the income of farmers, the progress of flagship schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, National Nutrition Mission and Mission Indradhanush, development of districts and celebration of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.

The Governing Council of the Niti Aayog discussed the implementation of important policies joining the various sectors.The development agenda of " New India 2022" was discussed in the on going meeting.

PM Modi tweeted about the meet on Saturday" Looking forward to the 4th Governing Council meeting of @NITIAayog tomorrow. Implementation of key policies relating to a wide range of sectors will be discussed during the meeting".
