Monsoon session of Parliament begins, Lok Sabha adjourned for the day

The monsoon session of Parliament has begun on Monday.

Before starting the proceedings of the House Modi introduced the newly-inducted ministers in the Lok Sabha.

On this occasion PM Modi said, from last few days we are talking to different different parties and this time everyone has in a mood to take the best decision.

Further he said, the work of giving a new direction to the country should be finish in this session of Parliament.

Meanwhile on the other side, Congress has taken up the Kashmir issue in the Rajya Sabha.The Lok Sabha was adjourned till Tuesday due to the death of Madhya Pradesh MP Dalpat Singh Paraste.

“GST is of national importance. Issue is not which government gets credit. Important Bills, including GST, will be taken up in the monsoon session and I hope there will be meaningful discussions and outcomes. All of us represent both the people and parties and let us keep national interests above everything else,” Prime Minister Modi said.

Kashmir violence and inflation can be the oppositions key issues to discuss in the Parliament. Monsoon session will be continue to August 12 .

It is noticed that, before the Lok Sabha proceedings PM Modi met Congress President Sonia Gandhi. They had a word with each other about 30 seconds. Besides this Modi also interacted with Mulayam Singh Yadav and Trinamool leaders .
