BCCI announces India teams for T20s, ODIs against South Africa

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) selection panel on Sunday announced India’s squad for Twenty20 (T20) and ODIs against South Africa in the forthcoming Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela series. The 72-day long energy-sapping tours, starting from October 2, include three T20 internationals, five ODIs and four Test matches. However, the squad is announced only for the three-match T20 series and first three ODIs.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Bengaluru today. Virat Kohli will lead the Test series, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be leading India in the limited overs format – T20Is and ODIs. India have never managed to beat South Africa in a Test series.

Harbhajan Singh makes a comeback in the T20 squad while Sreenath Arvind is a surprise inclusion in the squad. The rest of it on expected lines. following a good show in India A vs angladesh A matches, Gurkeerat Singh Mann’s gets a place in the ODi squad.
