BCCI announces India teams for T20s, ODIs against South Africa

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) selection panel on Sunday announced India’s squad for Twenty20 (T20) and ODIs against South Africa in the forthcoming Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela series. The 72-day long energy-sapping tours, starting from October 2, include three T20 internationals, five ODIs and four Test matches. However, the squad is announced only for the three-match T20 series and first three ODIs.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Bengaluru today. Virat Kohli will lead the Test series, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be leading India in the limited overs format – T20Is and ODIs. India have never managed to beat South Africa in a Test series.

India ODI Squad: MS Dhoni (Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Stuart Binny, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Amit Mishra, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav.
