Though managed scoring a clinical win over Bangladesh, Pakistan ended up being defeated by a target that it set on its own. Just a step behind the ICCWC2019 Semi-finals threshold, men in green could not manage setting up a score to beat NZ's net run rate. Fixing a phenomenal target of 316 runs agaisnt Bangladesh in their last match of the tournament, Pak defeated Bangladesh by 94 runs.

Pak's berth in the Semis, a mission impossible remained impossible only because the minimum score that they needed to set to win, i.e.,450 runs was far from what they actually scored. The game presented by the boys was good enough to remind one about the 1992 champions. Now that the teams for the knock out round are finalised, the eyes would only be waiting for the last three matches of the tournament that would decide the finalists and the champion.

India would be once again playing opposite England while the defending champions Australia would play against New Zealand on Teusday and Thursday to enter the finals. Today we have Srilanka and India playing against each other at 3 in Headingley, Leeds. While India would be looking forward to win the match ahead of semis, Sri Lanka would plan to end the tournament with a good note.
