Olympic trial: Sushil Kumar's Olympic dreams over

There is a bad news for all Shushil Kumar's fan. Sushil Kumar who is a two-time Olympic medalist and ace wrestler will now not go to participate in the 74 kg weight category in the Rio Olympics.

Today, The Delhi High Court has dismissed Sushil Kumar's plea for a trial against Narsingh Yadav.

While dismissing Sushil's plea, Justice Manmohan Singh said: "Though Sushil Kumar is a 'legendary'player but the decision of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) that Narsingh Pancham Yadav is better in 74 kg category cannot be held perverse.

"The judge added that the WFI conducted a transparent process of selection and ruled out any interference from the Court.

The court also said that there were high chances of injury if a selection trial is ordered now.The Bench found Sushil Kumar's argument of mala fide was unfounded and unsupported by any contemporary argument. 

Narsingh Yadav had secured a berth in the Olympics by winning in the world championship.

Meanwhile, Abhinav Bindra has tweeted on the issue saying Sushil Kumar should go to Rio Olympics and support Narsingh Yadav from the sidelines.
