Rumours come true, Karan Johar quits Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Mumbai: After a number of successful seasons as a judge on the celebrity dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Karan Johar returned for the latest season with Shahid Kapoor, Ganesh Hegde and Lauren Gottlieb as co-judges. But it looks like viewers are in for a shock as Karan has decided to quit the show and will no longer be in the judge’s seat. KJo took to Twitter earlier today to share the news:

“Was a hugely emotional day for me on the sets of #JhalakReloaded yesterday...thank you to the entire team for making me feel so special....”

Seeing as how that announcement is rather cryptic, the news was confirmed when co-judge Shahid Kapoor had this to say…

“@karanjohar u will be sorely missed on the sets of #JhalakReloaded . No one can replace you. Thank you for everything.”

Karan replied to Shahid in his usual jovial way:

“@shahidkapoor will miss you lots!!!! Keep the flag flying......#JhalakReloaded”

Even show anchor Manish Paul expressed his feelings on the matter: “@karanjohar sir u will be missed!!!ab main kya karoonga!!!hehehe”

While there’s yet an official confirmation required on the matter, it can’t be denied that Karan’s charm and sass will definitely be missed on the show.
