5 accused arrested in Snapdeal Employee's kidnapping case

5 men have been arrested by police in the Snapdeal employee Dipti Sarna's kidnapping case. One of the accused arrested, is a man who broke out of jail in Haryana and is a 'psychopath'. The Ghaziabad police is looking out for others who might be involved in the abduction.

According to the police, the main accused is a resident of Panipat while others are from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. The man, identified as Devendra, plotted the entire kidnapping after stalking Dipti for some time.

During interrogation, Dipti, said that after leaving the Snapdeal office in Gurgaon, she took the metro to Ghaziabad and then got into an auto. Four men and a girl were traveling in the auto from where she was kidnapped.

Dipti was blindfolded at knife point and thereafter bundled in a car and ferried to some unknown place. After much traveling, the car reached a place where she was kept in a room.

The girl was not assaulted sexually or physically and was offered food and snacks. Around 4 AM on Friday, they dropped her at some unknown railway station platform from where she boarded a Delhi-bound local train.

Dipti's phone, laptop, purse and other personal items were taken by the kidnappers.
