Assailants attack man on expressway and steal his car

Two persons Dharmender and Shaukeen were arrested by police on Tuesday for attacking a man on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway and stealing his Maruti Swift.

The incident took place when victim Anil Chowdhary was heading to Greater Noida. The two men suddenly jumped in front of his car and blocked his way, forcing him to apply the brakes. They held Chowdhary hostage at knifepoint and asked him to alight from the car.

The accused attacked him with the knife when he resisted their attempts and also took away his chain, rings and cash. He was then dumped near Pari Chowk followed by injuries in his abdomen.

Both the accused were arrested from Badaun district and produced before court which remanded them in 14 days' police custody.

Police said that further investigation in the case is going on.
