Agra:  To express solidarity with the cause of Valentine’s Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his MP wife Dimple Yadav on Saturday inaugurated a “Lover’s Bench” near the Taj Mahal in Agra.

The Lover's Bench is placed at a five-star hotel in Lucknow.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also unveiled the black replica of the Taj Mahal made by sand artist Sudershan Patnaik at the Taj Nature Walk later Saturday.
The 15-feet structure is adorned with the sculptures of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
“It’s my tribute to the two great lovers in history on Valentine’s Day,” Patnaik told to a news agency.

Mr. Akhilesh along with his wife and son arrived in a chartered helicopter at the PAC helipad at 10am today to attend a UP tourism event - Mera Agra.

The 'Mera Agra' competition is a design competition launched by The Design Village in collaboration with UP tourism department and the Dutch Embassy. The event is aimed at promoting the city of Taj where participants are asked to capture various moods of place through posters.
