Amid a blame game over fixing responsibility for the Kasganj violence, the RSS-linked Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday held a 'Tiranga Yatra' in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh.

VHP's Tiranga Yatra was taken out without permission from the Agra district administration.

VHP leader and vice president (Braj Prant) Sunil Parashar had earlier announced that his group will hold more Tiranga Yatras in the days to come.

'More 'Tiranga Yatra' will be taken out in the Braj region over 20 districts in the Agra, Aligarh and Bareilly divisions in the days to come,'' Parashar said.

In a major development, the UP Police today arrested the main accused in the Kassganj violence. He has been identified as Saleem. 

Also, a Congress delegation led by its UP unit chief Raj Babbar and national secretary and former MLA Vivek Bansal was stopped from going to Kasganj.

UP Police detained five minors in connection to the attack on Swiss couple in Agra that left them with broken bones.

Senior superintendent of police (Agra) Amit Pathak said, "All the detained seem to be minors. During questioning they have accepted to their crime. One is absconding, who probably is also a minor.”

The SSP added that raids are being carried out to detain the absconding.

They have been charged under the Indian Penal Code sections 323 — causing voluntarily hurt and 325 — causing grievous hurt.

The couple is going through a medical treatment in a hospital in Delhi. The doctors of the hospital told the media that the duo injured have suffered grievous injuries but are recovering

On Wednesday Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had seeked the Uttar Pradesh government a report in connection to an attack on Swiss couple.

 

Agra: Amid in outrage all across the country after Amarnath Yatra targeted by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, in attack seven pilgrims killed and more than 20 injured.

The Hindu outfit Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday protested against the Amarnath terror attack in Agra.

During the protest march they have brandished weapons including pistols, rifles and swords.

According to Govind Prashar ,an activist said,"Would like to say to government of India, if Amarnath don't get revenged within 15 days, will have to take law in our hands to protect pilgrims." 

On Wednesday,  A massive operation has been launched by the security forces to gun down Abu Ismail, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander and Pakistani national, who masterminded the deadly Amarnath terror attack that left at least 7 pilgrims dead.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's visit to Agra is seen as a damage control move after several BJP legislators made controversial comments on the monumets stature. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address a public rally at GIC ground in Agra.“The monument is open for tourists and the entry will be allowed as per the routine process. The security has been stepped up,” a Police Official said.

 

 

 Incident which can be named as dreadful, when government says 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' or education for all, in between a mother from Agra has offered to sell her kidney in order to pay fees of her children after they were being expelled by their school.

In a letter by Aarti Sharma , uploaded a letter on social media offering  her kidney to anyone who needs it across the country.

Aarti's four children (three daughters, one son) were studying in a CBSE school, but things turned sour when they were unable to pay the school fees, following which the school administration showed them the exit door.

Aarti`s husband was into the business of ready-made clothes but suffered heavy losses post demonetization.

Financially hit, the family was unable to pay the school fees and thus the trouble began.

The helpless mother approached the local authorities for help, who in response allegedly taunted her saying, "One should make their children study according to their status."

Ironically, Aarti had also met UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who assured her of help, but till now no help has come.
