JNU Row: Allahabad HC orders sedition case against Rahul Gandhi

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is in deep trouble now as the Allahabad High Court has ordered to register a sedition case against him for meeting with the protesting students in JNU campus in connection with 'ant-national' activities row.

According to news reports, the HC gave this order in the wake of a plea filed in Allahabad's CJM court. In the plea, it is said that Gandhi offered his support to students shouting anti-national slogans in the JNU campus.

The Congress scion visited the JNU campus amid all the controversy and alleged that those who want to gag the voice of students are the real anti-nationals.

"Kanhaiya Kumar just put forward his expression but the government is labeling him as an anti-national", Rahul Gandhi had said.

In the meantime, student's union leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Wednesday has been sent to judicial custody till March 2.
