High festive spirit of Magh Mela at Sangam

The festivities and carnival spirit of Magh Mela at Sangam is at a high. Also devotees and pilgrims are thronging the Magh Mela to quench their spiritual cravings.

A large number of rural people are arriving daily at the banks eager to be a part of the colourful and vibrant fair.

This year, the notion that people throng mela area only on major bathing days has been belied by the fact that a huge crowd turned out at the Sangam in the last two days so much so that the mela area transformed into a carnival for citizens and people from rural areas neighbouring the district.

The huge turnout of visitors at the Magh Mela area has proved a boon to people associated with the annual event, be it roadside vendors in the mela area or those plying tempo and rickshaw as they were earning good bucks.
