Nitish, Lalu to launch 'anti-Modi campaign' in Varanasi

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Lalu Prasad will be visiting prime minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi to launch an "anti-Modi campaign" ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.

According to RJD state president Ram Chandra Purve, chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will visit Varanasi after January 17. Also, Nitish Kumar would visit the temple town soon and hold a rally there. This move will be made in order to unite parties opposed to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Lalu will also visit West Bengal, which too is heading towards assembly elections, said Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav.

The Grand Alliance of Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar defeated the BJP in assembly elections in Bihar in November.
