Kashi Vishwanath Temple all set to get hi-tech modular kitchen

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple will now have a high-tech modular kitchen after undergoing a kitchen revamp.

"There is a belief that nobody in Lord Shiva's abode Kashi sleeps on empty stomach, courtesy Goddess Annapurna. In line with this belief, Kashi Vishwanath and Goddess Annapurna temples here have been operating 'anna kshetras' for centuries. To ensure that people coming to these 'anna kshetras' are served proper and healthy food, the kitchens of Annapurna temple have adopted modern technique. Now, KVT too has decided to upgrade its anna kshetra by replacing the traditional kitchen with a modular one", said a KVT priest.

"A proposal worth Rs 15 lakh is ready to convert the existing KVT kitchen into a high-tech modular facility", said KVT's chief executive officer AK Awasthi.

According to a report, Divisional commissioner RM Srivastava met temple officials on Tuesday to discuss the proposal. It has been decided to go in for the face-lift and set up a modular kitchen after verifying the suitability of the existing kitchen building.
