I'm already enjoying Deputy CM status in Akhilesh govt : Azam Khan

Lucknow: A day after the big hoarding, seeking the elevation of Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Azam Khan as the deputy chief minister, was put up in front of the Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's residence, the minority affairs minister has on Monday claimed that he is already enjoying the status in the Akhilesh Yadav cabinet.

Azam Khan who was is Gahzipur on Monday to attend the marriage of the daughter of SP leader and president of Rashtriya Pathan Mahasabha Haider Ali Tiger, said “I am already the deputy chief minister in the Samajwadi Party government headed by the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, In fact what one desires to achieve in life depends on that person provided that persons has the required abilities and competence,‘’ said Azam Khan, adding, "One can achieve everything even if having a small post or office. Mulayam Singh Yadav is a large hearted person and have a place in his family and want to thank both Netaji and those who ut up the hoarding asking for my elevation as deputy chief minister’’.

Earlier, a hoarding demanding elevation of Urban Development and Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Azam Khan as deputy chief minister was put up by "All India Muslim Welfare Society" near residence of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav here.
The poster describing Azam  Khan as `Rahabar-e-Millet ( the guide of the community) made a passionate appeal to Mulayam Singh Yadav  to oblige the muslims  and the society on the auspicious occasion of his birthday by elevating Azam Khan as the deputy chief minister. The poster said this gesture by party supremo will give immense pleasure to crores of Muslims of India and other sections of the society.

However, later the poster was covered up with another poster though the demand was visible.
