"Congress party has no future": Mulayam Singh Yadav

Mainpuri: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday attacked the Congress party saying it had no future. Blaming the Congress, Mulayam further said that the party's wrong policies gave way to Bharatiya Janata Party to come to the power at Centre. He also alleged that even the so-called "secular parties" indirectly helped BJP.

"It was due to the wrong policies of Congress, that BJP came to power at the Centre. Only SP fought against BJP. Several political parties which claim themselves to be secular, indirectly supported BJP," Yadav alleged.

Addressing a programme during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sainik School here, the SP boss asked his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to stay ahead of deadlines and try to complete the work before schedule. He said that he would be more interested in its inaugration.

"Now that the CM has laid the foundation stone of the Sainik School, he should also tell the public the date of its inaugration," Mulayam said.

On reply to this, CM Akhilesh assured that the school would be inaugrated on the same day next year.

Mulayam, however, asked the Chief Minister to complete the project within eight months.

Till now there was only one Sainik School at Lucknow in UP, but now there would be four, he said, adding "No other state has so many Sainik Schools. Maximum number of people join the Army from this area and maximum number of ex-servicemen live here."
