Mulayam Singh will be played by Raghuvir Yadav in his biopic

Lucknow: Director Vivek Dixit is all set to tell Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's life and struggle story on the silver screen. The 'Pocket Gangsters' actor Raghuvir Yadav will play the lead role in this upcoming Bollywood biopic titled 'Netaji- Mulayam Singh Yadav'.

The brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP cabinet minister Shivpal Yadav will perform the muhurat of the film on Wednesday.

Scriptwriter Ashok Yadav, who is also a minister of state in the Samajwadi Party-led UP government, said the film will be directed by Vivek Dixit. The producers of the film would be Dixit, Sandeep Shukla and Sarvjeet Singh.

"Famous character artist Raghuvir Yadav will portray the role of Mulayam and its muhurat will be done by PWD minister Shivpal Singh Yadav on August 12," Ashok Yadav said. He also said that permission for making the biopic has already been taken and it will be shot in Lucknow.

The UP minister also disclosed that since Mr Yadav's native village Saifai has changed over the period of time, therefore the movie would be shot in some other place, which resembles the surroundings of his childhood.

Mulayam Singh's childhood, his life and his political struggles everything would be depicted in the biopic, Ashok Yadav further revealed.
