Son of SP leader, 2 others gang-raped 14-year-old girl in Badaun

Badaun: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three persons, including son of a Samajwadi Party leader, in Nurpur village, Badaun district on July 18.

Reportedly, the victim had gone to answer the nature's call in the fields on Saturday evening. The three man, including Omendra Pal, son of SP leader Tekchand Pal and two others - Narendra and Surendra, came on a motorbike and allegedly abducted the girl and took her to a nearby mango orchard and raped her. The three accused then fled the scene, leaving the girl alone. The girl somehow managed to reach her aunt in Ramzanpur village where she narrated the whole incident. The aunt in turn told informed the girl's brother who then took the matter to the cops on July 19.

The FIR has been lodged against Omendra Pal, Surendra Pal and Narendra Pal under Section 376 (rape) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and SC/ST Act.

The girl is under treatment at the Badaun district hospital.

Superintendent of Police (SP), Anil Kumar Yadav told that one of the accused Surendra has been arrested. A search is on to nab the two others. Girl's medical examination report is awaited.
