A fire broke out at King George's Trauma center in Lucknow on Saturday evening, fire causes trouble for the patients and attendants. The smoke is injurious for more than 150 patients in hospital.

The medical and surgical emergencies had to be shifted to  KGMU's Centenary Hospital and Gandhi Ward following the fire.

According to chief medical superintendent of KGMU,  Prof SN Shankhwar,the fire errupts on the second floor of the trauma center at evening near to 7 pm. Fire tenders from the Chowk fire station rushed to the spot and the rescue operation is underway.

Kaushal Raj, District magistrate Kaushal Raj reched at the hospital and monitoring the rescue operation.He told media  that no one has been injured in the fire so far

Officials at KGMU claimed that second floor of the trauma center, where the fire broke out, is reserved for medical training. Therefore, no patients or attendants were present.
