Following the discovery of a terrorist hideout in Haji Colony in Dubagga, police will conduct a verification drive in new colonies on the outskirts.

SSP Manzil Saini said on Thursday that the drive will be carried out in localities like Para, Kakori, Vrindavan Yojana, Gomtinagar extension and some parts of trans-Gomti.

SSP said all landlords must get the verification of their tenants done from the nearest police station.

She added that landlords should have the photographs and contact details of their tenants. Over the past five years, there has been a rise in numbers of under-30 men from across UP coming to city in search of better education and jobs.

Most of them are given rooms on rent without any verification done by landlords, SSP said.
