Eid Mubarak: Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated in UP with great enthusiasm

Today, Uttar Pradesh become the witness of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

Muslims all over world celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm.

In Uttar Pradesh men, women and children were seen in their best outfit. Eid marks the end of Ramzan and Muslims across the world do their special prayers in their best thronging mosques, shrines and Eidgahs across the state.

They made a beeline for Eidgahs (prayer ground) and mosques for offering the Eid prayers.

Everything happened like before but this time Lucknow has created the history. For the very first time women offered 'namaaz' at Aishbagh Eidgah in Lucknow.

According to the Maulana five thousand women participated in the Namaz. On this occasion UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav with Governor Ram Naik greeted people at Eidgah.

However, Ramzan falls in the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is observed as a fasting period by Muslims.

Meanwhile, the district administration made ​​elaborate security arrangements to avoid any mishappening.
