Rajnath Singh inaugurated Wi-Fi service at Charbagh railway station

There is a good news to the people who are planning to travel to the city of 'Nawab' name called Lucknow.

Actually on 10 June,Union home minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Wi-Fi service at the Charbagh railway station in Lucknow.

The benifit can avail those Passengers who will be stepping onto the NR and NER stations. These passengers will be able to access Wi-Fi on all 3G and 4G compatible handsets and laptops as soon as they enter the premises, including at platforms, retiring rooms and waiting halls.

To log in, users will receive a password via a text message soon after they connect with the provider through their device.

The password will work for 24 hours.For this purpose, there would be more than 30 access point at all the eight platforms of NR, which will also cover the retiring room, dormitory and waiting rooms," said AK Singh, NR's senior Divisional Signal and Telecom Engineer (DSTE).

However, The service is part of the central government's project to provide Wi-Fi services at 400 railway stations across the country.While soft launches have taken place at around 10 stations across the country, Lucknow Junction would be the first to have such a facility in UP.

Indian Railways will provide the Internet service in collaboration with RailTel company, which is being assisted by Google.
