IIT topper manisha suffering from cancer in germany

Jodhpur: Till a few years ago IIT topper  Manisha Gupta from Jodhpur (Rajasthan) had a promising future ahead of her.

She was in one of India’s topmost institutes IIT-Delhi doing her MTech, was a class topper, and had won a place in Indo-German research selection program, giving her an opportunity to study in Germany.

But in a heartbreaking moment she lost it all. In July 2015, Manisha was diagnosed with Brain Cancer and that too in the third stage.

Since then she has had to undergo an operation and chemotherapy but to no avail. She is battling for her life and is now in the final stages of her life.

Not wanting to give up, Manisha now wants to come back to her home town in Jodhpur and spend the last few days of her life in a city where she spent her childhood.

Unfortunately, she is too critical and commercial airlines have thus far refused to let her travel. Doctors too have advised that she takes an air-ambulance instead. The cost of air-ambulance to an international destination will be nearly 60,000 Euros (Rs.45 lakh) and she and her family cannot afford that.
