Rahul Gandhi a traitor; should either be hanged or shot: Rajasthan BJP MLA

A Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Rajasthan, Kailash Choudhary, has stirred a new controversy by terming Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi a 'traitor' and also saying that he should either be hanged or shot to death.

The BJP MLA made this dubious remark against the Congress scion as he supported the Jawaharlal Nehru University students who were shouting anti-India slogans.

Addressing farmers during a 'kisan sammelan', Choudhary further said that the Congress leader had no right to be in India and support slogans like 'Pakistan Zindabad'. The MLA defended himself saying that those who speak against India, should either be shot or hanged to death.

Meanwhile, state Congress president Sachin Pilot called Chaudhary's remarks highly objectionable and demanded a public apology from BJP.
