A shocking incident took place in the coaching hub of Kota on Friday evening when an aspiring IITian committed suicide. This was the second suicide in the last two days sending shock waves across the city.

Anson Anil Kumar of 19 years of age, a native of Kerala was found hanging in his hostel room in the Jawahar Nagar area. Police recovered his suicide note. Till reports last came in police were on the spot collecting evidence.

Kumar was last seen in the morning at the breakfast table in his hostel. After that he locked his room from inside till his body was recovered by the police. "His landlord was alerted by the staff who told that Kumar is not responding to any of their calls. The landlord also came and knocked the door but got no response and called the police", said Rajesh Meshram, CI, Jawahar Nagar police station in Kota.

Police then broke the door to see his body hanging from the ceiling fan. "The suicide note was found on the table. We are still searching the room to find more clues as his note doesn't specify any exam pressure," added Meshram. The suicide reads 'Sorry papa n mummy.. You gave me birth but I didn't value it."

Kumar came to Kota a year ago after completing his Class XII with a dream of cracking the joint entrance examinations for an entry into the IIT. "He was an average student and was improving with every passing month. I did not notice any signs of depression in him. In fact, he was very positive during our special activities for distressed students", said one of his teachers at the coaching institute.

His parents were informed who are expected to reach Kota today. The concerned coaching institute has been asked by the police to submit the attendance and test scores. In 2015, Kota saw 19 suicides by students who were enrolled with coaching institutes for IITs and medical.
