IAF aircraft  MiG-27 crashes in Jodhpur's building, both Pilots Safe

On Monday, a fighter aircraft MiG-27 of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been crashed near Jodhpur in Rajasthan at about 11.30 a.m.

The crash occurred near the Jodhpur air base while the fighter jet was on a routine sortie.

The pilot ejected safely," Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO) Manish Ojha said in his statement.

Ojha said that the Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry to investigate the incident.

The MiG-27 are one of the oldest aircraft of Indian Air Force and will be phased out soon.

In this tragedy a house has been damaged while some nearby houses have reported cracks.

However, no casualty or serious injuries have been reported to anyone from the area where the plane crashed," a police official said.
