SP chief Mulayam Singh discharged from hospital after six days

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has been discharged today from Medanta in Gurgaon after six days of treatment.

The former union minister and Uttar Pradesh chief minister was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital early on Saturday (March 7) after he showed symptoms of swine flu.

"Yadav, 75, was discharged around 11.15 a.m. after he recovered well. He was looking fit and happy", a senior doctor said.

Yadav's family members and some senior party leaders were present at the time of discharge.

He was treated for swine flu but on Monday, doctors said reports revealed that he was not suffering from it.

Doctors said there was infection in his chest and abdomen.
