Lakhimpur: The severe rainfall and storm experienced by the Kheri district since last few days, which resulted in flood like situation. Uttar Pradesh Minister Swati Singh reviewed the flood-affected areas on Saturday.

According to the sources, the Sharda and Ghaghra rivers are flowing above the level and had destroyed the village area badly. Over 100 acres of farmland of Rehariya village submerged into the Sharda river. All the roads got damaged and there is no way left to reach the village, except a way through boat. None of the officers were able to see the catastrophe due to the obstacles to reach Reharia village.

According to the information, Reharia village is situated between Sharda river and Chouka river, thus, three to four months of rainy season, the only way to reach the village is only by boat support.

UP Minister Swati Singh reached the Reharia village on a motor boat and took a stock of floods and also promised the villagers, will get relief from the flood soon.

Minister Swati Singh instructed the officers strictly that if any kind of carelessness is done then strict action will be taken.
