Uttar Pradesh: The rainfall and lightining struck in different districts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, took a toll on 11 lives and 7 got injured. This raised the death toll to 106 in the state. Earlier around 97 people lost their lives, as recorded. Around 600 houses got damaged due to rain related incidents.

The Meteorological Department warned that districts of Khari, Farookhabad, Raebareli, Lucknow, Sultanpur, etc would continue to receive heavy rains and thundershowers.

According to the sources,two people were killed each in Farukhabad and Bahraich while one each in Kheri, Raebareli, Lucknow, Kanpur Dehat, Barabanki, Sitpaur, and Sultanpur. Due to the severe situation, over 80 cattle lost their lives.

CM Yogi had directed the senior officials of all the district to alert people, identife delipated buildings and get them vacated.The officials have been directed to provide immediate financial and medical assistance to people severely affected by the rain.

The rivers were flowing above the danger level, in Lakhimpur, Barabanki and Ayodhya.
