Uttar Pradesh power minister Shrikant Sharma informed that state government has planned to connect each village with power supply by 2018 and will try to supply 18 hours power supply.

The  contract will be signed with Centre on April 14. 

Minister said the government would give 20 hour power supply to tehsils while all district headquarters will be given 24 hour power supply in the state. 

He said the scheme will know as ‘power for all’, and the government will put effort to implement it soon. 

Amid in outrageous protest across state for shutting down liquor shops specially near residential and other necessary places, he said liquor shops will be shut down if they are located near temple and schools. The minister urged people not to take law in their own hands.
