Akhilesh govt direct officials to give the historical buildings a priority

Lucknow: CM Akhilesh Yadav-led government on Thursday directed the officials to give priority to the embellishment of the historical buildings and development of river bank in the state capital.

Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan along with the Divisional Commissioner Mahesh Gupta, Secretary Urban Development SP Singh, District Magistrate Rajshekar made a surprised inspection of the beautification and development works being carried out in the capital city.

During the inspection, Ranjan directed that beautification of historical buildings, including Roomi Gate, Chhota Imambara, Clock Tower at Hussainabad should be done on a priority basis.

For the promotion of tourism, an action plan has to  be prepared to promote river bank as a tourist spot.
